The saga continues ..

We decided we would leave Sea Fever in the water over the winter - and so far have had a couple of very nice days out. I'm OK with cold and also with rain - just never together !

Next major event in May is a sail across to Cowes - not exactly the voyage of a lifetime perhaps but the destination is the Cowes boat lift for a wash and new anodes.

The maiden voyage !

All essential work on Sea Fever completed, Sunday 19th August saw the start of our inaugural cruise ... nothing too exciting was planned - up and down the Solent and then to Poole.  We sailed on Sunday and Monday with a local instructor to get some inside info on Portsmouth but then, as so often happens in this neck of the woods, the weather didn't play along and we spent the next two days of Force 7 winds sheltering in Haslar marina.

Thursday saw us off to Yarmouth for the night and we finally got to Poole only on Friday. We had a great sail back through the Needles and spent Saturday night at anchor in Totland Bay a cable's length from Emma Keturah (Bruce Mayhew's boat). A trip ashore in Bruce's dinghy ended up with me needing a change of clothes. Enough said !

We then motored back to Haslar on Sunday - a very good week all in all.
