Yachts, yachting, sailing ...... 

I have always loved the sea and will go on the water at any opportunity, but after going out on a yacht owned by Bruce Mayhew, a friend of mine, I enjoyed it so much that I went out and got my RYA Day Skippers ticket, my marine VHF radio operator licence, RYA First Aid and passed my Yachtmaster theory exams too.  I even got Mary to sign up up for a Competent Crew course too which she thoroughly enjoyed (she now ties a mean bowline).

We've both enjoyed the challenge and so far have sailed a number of times in the Solent, twice chartered a boat in the British Virgin Islands and spent a week sailing the West country coastline down to Plymouth.  It was almost a forgone conclusion that one day we'd get our own boat - and in June we did just that ...
